"GENESIS" / Producer
Shelli Boone
...storyteller, dreamer, doer. Shelli Boone has recurred on CW’s hit show “All American:Homecoming” and BET’s “All The Queen’s Men”. She has guest starred on shows such as “All Rise”, “CSI:Vegas”, “The Rookie”, “NCIS:LA”, “Grey’s Anatomy”,“Private Practice”, "Why Women Kill" and Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne.” She was also a series regular on FOX’s primetime drama soap “Saints and Sinners”. She recently appeared on Netflix’s Emmy nominated sketch comedy show “I Think You Should Leave Now". She was nominated for an NAACP Best Actress Award for her stage portrayal of Dorothy Dandridge in “Dorothy and Otto”. She embodied the vivacious Josephine Baker in “When Divas Were Divas” which toured both nationally and in Europe. She has produced her own stage productions, “Out West: Women of the Plains” and “The Cell Block Seven”, which premiered in Washington, DC and went on to earn another NAACP nomination for Best Ensemble. She is now touring a new one-woman show "W.I.G.", a musical comedy featuring original songs. Shelli is the Artistic Director of the Willie Agee Playhouse in Inglewood where she has resided for twenty years, bringing quality programming to her own community. She is proud of the productions and workshops she has developed right in her own backyard. Her faith, family and friends are her biggest sources of inspiration to continue to thrive as an entertainer and creator.

"RASHAD"/ Producer
Jozben Barrett
Jozben Barrett is a Los Angeles-based actor, director, producer and educator. 2Rhythms acting credits: Blacktop Sky, The Motherf**ker with the Hat, Topdog/Underdog, Yellowman, King James, A Bicycle Country, and The Understudy. Other notable performances include the world premiere of What To Send Up When It Goes Down by Aleshea Harris, and the world premiere of SNAKES by Chris Webb at the ACT Strand Theatre. Directing credits: Seven Guitars, Anna in the Tropics, Hurt Village, Day of Absence, Clyde’s, Scraps, Pipeline, Leveling Up, We Are Proud to Present, and The Colored Museum. Jozben currently serves as the Building Opportunities through Learning and Development (BOLD) Chair of the American College Theater Festival, Region 8. He is a graduate of the CalArts MFA Acting Program and holds a BA in Theatre Arts from CSU Northridge. Jozben is the Artistic Director of 2Rhythms and currently teaches in the Department of Theatre and Dance at California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Director
JL Woodson
JL Woodson has worked in theatre for over fifteen years. She is an actor, director, dramaturg, playwright, and stage manager from Los Angeles, California. She made her professional acting debut as Eunis in A Streetcar Named Desire at the West Covina Playhouse and has since gone on to play most recently Marianne in The Revolutionists, Lottie in By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, and Norca in Our Lady of 121st Street. She has directed several One Acts and plays her most recent directing credit being a MFA Thesis performance of Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero. She holds an MFA in Acting, earned her BFA in Theater from AMDA Los Angeles, and has trained with UCB. She is thrilled to be directing her first 2Rhythms production and would like to thank her family and friends for their endless support. Proud member of SAG-AFTRA
